Join us for an interactive class that explores all aspects of zookeeping and teaches students how to get started in this amazing career field.

Classes are for middle and high school students and include a panel of Riverbanks animal care staff that teach students not only what zookeepers do to care for Riverbanks' huge animal collection but also how to get into this exciting career field. Students will also explore a behind the scenes animal area to get an up-close look at what zookeepers do every day.
Note: Behind the scenes tours DO NOT always include animal encounters. For more information about Behind the Scenes Animal Encounters visit:

This program is rain or shine. Once a participant has been signed up, a parent or guardian must complete and return a registration form which will be emailed to address provided. For more information please email
